The Pupil Premium is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding. It is allocated according to the number of pupils on the school roll who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), according to the number of children of service families, children in care or any children who have been in those groups within the last 6 years. This is because these groups of children are identified nationally as most likely to be achieving less successfully than other groups in the school.
It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. Click on the links below to see our pupil premium strategies for the last three academic years.
