This week we need to prick out the tomatoes which we sowed a few weeks ago. They have become very big and need to be pricked out into individual stations in seed trays.
As the children learned how to prick out carefully last week, they had no problem managing the delicate tomato plants.
We had sown three different varieties of tomato – a black cherry which is very sweet flavoured; a full size red tomato; and a fully size yellow tomato.
Soon the children had produced thirteen trays of four stations each, so that each class will have four plants to set out.
We carried them all carefully to our greenhouse, so that they can grow on.
