Mrs Dorey had brought in a bucket full of forget-me-not plants, to go around Mrs Julian’s memory tree, so we started off by planting them. The ground was quite soft so it was easy to plant them in amongst the grass. In the spring we hope they will grow along with the bluebells we planted earlier this term. They should combine to make a lovely blue colour around the tree.
After we had done this we moved on to the bird feeders. We saw a squirrel up the tree busily feeding on one of them when we arrived. As the feeders were empty and one was completely missing we assumed the squirrels were to blame.
However, we carefully filled the ones that were left and hung them up again. It was a lovely sunny day and the little wood where the feeders hang looked pretty with its autumn leaves on the trees.
